Terms of Service
Last updated September 13, 2026
Usher is an early-stage product, currently in a testing phase ahead of a wider launch. These terms are deliberately plain rather than dense with boilerplate, but they're a real agreement: by creating an account or using Usher, you agree to them.
What Usher is
Usher takes an app you or your AI agent built, points a link or an uploaded file at it, and puts it live at a shareable link, without you needing to set up servers, hosting, or infrastructure yourself.
Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for anything that happens under your account, including apps deployed using any API key you generate. If you believe your account or a token has been compromised, revoke it and tell us.
What you deploy
You keep ownership of whatever you deploy through Usher, your code, your content, your design. We don't claim any rights to it beyond what's needed to run and display it as part of the service you asked for.
You're responsible for what you deploy. In particular, you agree not to use Usher to host or share:
- Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.)
- Malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to attack, scan, or abuse other systems
- Spam, or apps whose main purpose is to harvest people's data without their knowledge
- Cryptomining or other uses designed to extract raw compute rather than run an actual app
- Anything that knowingly puts a minor at risk
If we find an app that violates this, we can take it down and suspend the account, generally without advance notice, since some of these situations need to be handled immediately.
Limits, by design
Usher applies default limits, on deploys per day, on how many apps can run at once, and on how long an unused app stays live before it's put to sleep, to keep the service usable and cost-safe for everyone while it's this early. These limits may change as the product matures.
Databases and storage
If your app uses a database Usher provisions for you, treat it as a working copy for building, testing, and sharing, not as permanent, backed-up storage. We don't currently guarantee backups or recovery if that data is lost. If your app holds anything you can't afford to lose, keep your own copy of it independently.
Uptime and changes
Usher is provided as-is, without a guarantee of uptime, and we may change or discontinue features (including apps sleeping after inactivity, or deploy limits) as the product develops. We'll try to keep disruption minimal, but we can't promise a specific level of availability at this stage.
Ending your access
You can stop using Usher and tear down your apps at any time. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that we reasonably believe puts the service or other users at risk.
No warranty, limited liability
Usher is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Usher changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
